Custom Concrete
There’s no scarcity of choices. Many of our clients in our hometown of Thousand Oaks and the neighboring suburbs of Westlake Village, Agoura Hills, Simi Valley, Moorpark and Calabasas have gone the concrete way. Not only is it lighter on the wallet, but it’s also extremely versatile.
Our clients in Malibu, Camarillo, Hidden Hills, Woodland Hills, Newbury Park and Oak Park have used concrete in innovative new ways to make their homes stand out in their neighborhoods. We at Cornett Masonry believe that, when utilized correctly, concrete can be a stunning addition to your landscape design.
Stamped Concrete
Stamped concrete can replicate the look of stone, brick or pavers easily but doesn’t cost as much. Often residential and commercial property owners use the more affordable concrete. As there are so many design options available, people no longer have to endure the dull, gray surface. Stamped concrete adds a different look and texture to the surface. From a distance, it’s difficult to tell the difference between stamped concrete and pavers. Unless you’ve opted for a very different and unique design, your hardscaping will look like it’s made from brick, stone or concrete pavers. It’s more affordable because there’s less labor involved. We essentially just pour concrete and stamp it with a pattern.
Colored Concrete
Colored concrete can be beautiful to look at and many people use it indoors as well as outdoors. There’s no shortage of the array of colors available that you can use and designs you can incorporate. There are sands, tans, mocha’s, blues, grays, and even black that are some of the more popular colors used by our clients. Some of our clients add different artistic touches by adding geometric patterns, or abstract designs to their concrete surfaces. The overall effect can be different and unique.
How to Install Custom Concrete
After you call us, the owner of Bruce Cornett Masonry Construction, Bruce Cornett, will speak with you about the look and texture of concrete and what kind of pattern you’re aiming for. Then we survey the area we need to work on. Once everything, including the design, timeline and budget, is agreed upon, we move on with the project.- The ground needs to be properly prepared and leveled before we can pour concrete on it. Our employees will first make sure that the surface is ideal before proceeding.
- We then add color if coloring, pour the concrete, and stamp it according to your preference. The amount of time this takes depends on the design you choose.
